Inserting an image into an Article

It is assumed that you have logged into the administrator panel for Joomla.

1.)

Either open an existing article within the Article Manager or start a new Article.

Within the WYSIWYG editor, place your cursor somewhere near where you desire the image to be. For this example, the cursor was placed at the beginning of the first paragraph.

2.)

In the lower right, click the 'Image' button.

A pop-up will appear.

3.)For this example, we will insert the 'clock.jpg.' Click on the image or name of the file.

4.)

The 'Image URL' field is automatically filled. You may want to type in an 'Image Description' and a 'Title'. These are optional but helpful for people with visual disabilities.

5.)

More than likely, you will want to set the alignment of the image. This will make the text flow around the image. We will select 'right'.

6.)Side note:
You will notice there is an 'Upload' panel that will allow you to upload an image without having to do the extra steps within the Media Manager.

7.)

Click the 'Insert' button at the upper right.

8.)The image has been inserted and aligned to the right.
9.)

Done.
